Alliant Energy Corporation Appoints Patrick Allen to Board of Directors

MADISON, Wis., July 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Alliant Energy Corporation announced today that it approved Patrick E. Allen as a new director of the company effective July 27, 2011.

Allen, 46, his wife and their children live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Allen has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Rockwell Collins, Inc. since 2005. Prior to his arrival at Rockwell Collins in 2001, Allen worked for Rockwell International and Deloitte & Touche. Allen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from The Pennsylvania State University and is a certified public accountant. Allen's charitable efforts include positions on the Board of Trustees for Waypoint Services and Board of Directors for the Alzheimer's Association of Eastern Iowa.
