Alliant Credit Union Will Award Youth Members $5,250 in Annual National Education Program

DENVER, Aug. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading personal finance website GOBankingRates commends its client Alliant Credit Union for its annual National Education Program, which awards students in Denver and across the country with gift cards for computers to further their education. GOBankingRates seeks to highlight financial institutions like Alliant that are committed to providing financial and educational support to its younger members.

This year, Alliant is awarding nine students computer gift cards with prize levels ranging between $250 and $1,000. Each age group -- members aged 5-9, 10-13 and 14-17 -- will have a Golden Apple, Silver Key and Brass Bell award winner.

Program details:

Local students between the ages of five and 17 can apply for the program online.
Using any type of media, such as an essay, drawing, PowerPoint or photograph, applicants must describe what they want to be when they grow up and how a computer could enrich their education.
All applicants must be Alliant members in good standing and have an Alliant savings account in their names.
Entries can also be mailed to Alliant Credit Union (Attn: National Education Program) at P.O. Box 66945, Chicago, IL 60666-0945; mailed entries must be received by Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, in order to be considered.

Entries will be judged on presentation, effort and creativity, and winners will be selected and notified by Friday, Sept. 19, 2014.
