Alliance Engineering Awarded Contract for Transco Compressor Station
HOUSTON, March 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Wood Group's Alliance Engineering has been awarded a contract for the engineering and design of an additional electric motor-driven compressor and associated equipment at Transco's Station 125 in Monroe, Ga. The work is associated with Transco's Mid-South Expansion Project, the first phase of which is scheduled to be placed into service in the fall of 2012.
The design for Station 125 includes a Dresser compressor, driven by a Siemens electric motor. Alliance's contract also includes procurement support services. Alliance expects to complete the engineering and design in the fall of 2011.
