NORTHBOROUGH, Mass., Jan. 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- AllCare Plus Pharmacy, New England's largest independent specialty pharmacy, today announced the renaming of its two business divisions: AllCare Access Services and AllCare Hospital Solutions. The divisions' new identities reflect the evolution of AllCare's overall business strategy, which will be further positioned to target growth opportunities in high-performing sectors.
AllCare Access Services is the company's Hub services division, which provides streamlined manufacturer-patient support including: pharmacy and medical reimbursement support, copay assistance programs, non-commercial dispensing (patient assistance programs, Medicare Part D patient assistance programs, Bridge, Quick Start, replacement programs) and customized adherence programs. AllCare Hospital Solutions is AllCare's 340(b) services division, which manages and operates specialty pharmacies within health systems. Both divisions have seen meaningful growth in recent years, making them the primary elements in AllCare's overall mission.
"Our Hub services and 340(b) services have excelled in recent years, and we're proud today to formally position our business for continued growth in these areas," said Mark Janian, Chief Commercial Officer of AllCare Plus. "These two areas have the greatest business potential and most unmet need in the market, so it's only natural that we emphasize our focus on providing best-in-class services to manufacturers, patients, and health systems. The industry has demonstrated a strong desire for outside support, and AllCare is pleased to earn our clients' and partners' trust and confidence."
AllCare has emerged as one of the fastest growing Hub services providers in the industry, offering a customized technology package with highly trained staff and a streamlined program that dramatically reduces turnaround time. AllCare Access Services currently serves more than a dozen of the leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the country. In 2018 alone, AllCare Access Services launched 10 new therapeutic programs, two new-to-market therapies, and eight therapies that were transitioned from other vendors.
"Whether it's introducing a new-to-market therapy or transitioning an existing program, we have the experience and expertise to innovate and improve the services our clients expect," said Daniel Apelian, President and CEO of AllCare Plus. "Our wide-ranging set of capabilities is one of our main points of pride."
AllCare Hospital Solutions has experienced significant growth in the 340(b) specialty pharmacy space. In January 2018, AllCare partnered with one of the largest Boston-based teaching institutions to open and manage a best-in-class specialty pharmacy. AllCare collaborated on a custom patient management platform that fully integrates into the hospital's dispensing system, and will seamlessly tie into the EMR systems. The result is improved accuracy and a better patient experience.
"We're doubling-down on our commitment to providing our Hub services and 340(b) services to clients with excellence, and the newly streamlined focus of our business offering will enable us to do just that as we grow into the future," said Apelian. "The establishment of Access Services and Hospital Solutions as our main service lines will optimize our business, give us an even larger foothold in a competitive market, and maintain our status as an industry leader."
