Allan Connolly of Aclara Named EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 Award Winner in Central Midwest
Connolly joins three decades of groundbreaking entrepreneurs
ST. LOUIS, June 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- President and CEO Allan Connolly of Aclara Technologies ("Aclara"), has received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2017 Award in the Central Midwest. The award recognizes entrepreneurs who are excelling in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Connolly was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a black tie gala on June 15 in Kansas City.

Connolly also has led his team through three major acquisitions that have rounded out Aclara's product lines and expanded its position as a top smart infrastructure solutions company. In December 2015, Meter Reading Holdings LLC, the legal entity that owns Aclara Technologies, purchased the electric smart meters business from General Electric and in January 2017 added a mobile workforce management technology for smart grid deployments and smart grid professional services by acquiring Smart Grid Solutions, a division of Apex CoVantage LLC. Collectively, these two companies along with Aclara Technologies, operate as Aclara. In August 2016, Aclara acquired Tollgrade's Smart Grid division, which included its distribution monitoring platform comprising smart grid sensors and sensor management system software with Predictive Grid® Analytics.
