All Roads Lead to Washington, D.C., for ICF Converge 2017
Inaugural International Coach Federation event will unite the global coaching community at the intersection of coaching and potential.
LEXINGTON, Ky., Jan. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Registration will open soon for ICF Converge 2017, a first-of-its-kind global event hosted by the International Coach Federation. The event will take place August 24–26, 2017, at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C.
ICF Converge 2017 will be the first large-scale global ICF event since 2012.
"We are very excited to announce this global event after several years of regionally focused conferences and smaller, more targeted gatherings. Being able to bring the ICF community together again and offering an amazing experience of sharing, learning, creating and giving carries a tremendous promise. We are looking toward August with great enthusiasm," said ICF Global CEO/Executive Director Magdalena Mook.
ICF Converge is a dynamic global event designed to strengthen connections within the coaching community and offer cutting-edge learning opportunities around topics including the art and practice of coaching, building a thriving coaching business, cultivating strong coaching cultures in organizations, coaching science, and the future of coaching and of the workforce.
ICF Converge 2017 will focus on four key areas, or neighborhoods. Each neighborhood will have a unique atmosphere and offer different learning experiences for attendees. The neighborhoods are:
- Practice—This neighborhood will showcase content that will help coaches and those interested in using coaching competencies strengthen their skills.
- Build—This neighborhood will highlight content to help coaches develop and diversify their business and inspire those interested in building a coaching culture within their organization.
- Science—This neighborhood will explore evidence-based practices and the theories that underpin coaching.
- Future—This neighborhood will challenge attendees to look forward and offer them insights that will help the coaching community prepare for what may be ahead.
Educational content will be presented in a variety of new and interactive formats, including workshops, live-action role play (LARP) and step debates.
ICF Converge 2017 will also incorporate opportunities for networking and community-building, including pro bono coaching activities benefiting the local community and a gala celebration on August 25 with dinner, dancing and the presentation of the 2017 ICF International Prism Award and Chair's Award.
Prospective attendees can sign up to be notified when registration opens at ICFConverge.com.
