All New Quizlet Launches with International Focus Including Redesigned User Interface and Collaborative Learning Game
US's Most Popular Learning Platform Now Available in Six New Languages as It Embarks on Global Growth and Expansion
SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Quizlet, the most popular studying and learning application in the United States, today announced the launch of the new Quizlet, a key part of the company's global growth and expansion plans. The new Quizlet features a complete visual redesign, including a modern logo, bright, fresh colors, and a new mobile interface designed to support learning on any device. Along with new visual language and iconography, Quizlet also announced localized versions of the platform live in six languages: German, Spanish, Chinese (traditional), Chinese (simplified), and Japanese, as well as in English (UK).
Used by one-third of all US high school students, Quizlet's 20 million monthly learners have completed over two billion study sessions. Now, with the fresh modern design and streamlined study experience, Quizlet is even more useful for anyone looking to study and learn regardless of their language or country, making it faster and simpler to find, create and master subject matter worldwide.
"Learning doesn't stop when we leave the classroom, lecture hall, or workplace and the only way to ensure scale is to have the world at-large contributing content for people to learn from," said Matthew Glotzbach, CEO of Quizlet. "This requires giving students and teachers an easy-to-use platform for both creating study materials, and for studying and sharing them. Offering our service in six languages is only the beginning of what we think is possible for Quizlet on a global scale, and we've got more language and market launches coming soon!"
Quizlet Live Upgrades
Also launching this month as part of the new Quizlet are several new, requested features to its popular in-classroom game, Quizlet Live. The features, available as part of the Quizlet Teacher subscription include:
- Teachers can now customize teams, modifying or replacing those chosen by the game engine
- Teachers can now queue up multiple study sets to extend game play into one, continuous, unbroken experience
- Teachers can now add audio, providing even more fun and dimension to the learning experience
As a peer-powered network, Quizlet has grown on the power of the study materials created by and for learners. In the last year, more than 60 million study sets were created on the site, covering topics ranging from vocabulary and STEM-driven subject matter to test preparation and vocational applications.
