Alinean Completes SSAE 16 SOC 1 Audit
Security, governance and compliance tested and audited by independent accounting firm
ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Alinean, the leading creator of interactive B2B value selling and marketing tools, today announced it has successfully completed the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 , commonly known as the Service Organization Controls (SOC) 1 examination, for its value marketing and selling Software as a Service (SaaS) platform and systems.
SSAE 16 is the auditing standard developed in 2011 by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and designated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as an acceptable method for customers to obtain assurances about a SaaS provider's internal controls without conducting additional assessments.
"Our SaaS application is critical to the marketing and selling effectiveness of our customers, requiring the highest security, availability, compliance and governance," says Tom Pisello, CEO and founder of Alinean. "Completion of the SSAE-16 SOC 1 Audit process provides the utmost confidence in our services and alleviates the costs for customers to conduct independent audits and assessments."
Completion of the SSAE 16 SOC 1 audit indicates that critical Alinean application and data management, operational processes, procedures and internal controls have been formally established to the highest levels, as evaluated and tested by an independent accounting and auditing firm.
"Alinean is proud to be the first and only value marketing and selling tool provider to achieve SSAE 16 compliance for its data center facilities, systems and applications," adds Tom Pisello.
