Alignment Healthcare Announces Expansion Of Services In North Carolina

RALEIGH, N.C., Dec. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Alignment Healthcare is expanding in North Carolina, with a new care center for Medicare beneficiaries opening in Cary and the arrival of a new market president.

Veteran health care executive Scott Reid, one of Alignment's original co-founders, has been named president of the North Carolina market and will be based in Wake County. Instrumental in launching Alignment and building its corporate offices and original care centers, Reid replaces Dr. Donald Furman as Furman dedicates his time fully to corporate business development.

The new Cary care center, at 103 Baines Court, is slated to open in mid-January. At over 1,300 square feet, the center will have two exam rooms, two offices, a lab and reception area. Like Alignment's three other care centers in Wake County, the Cary center will feature state-of-the-art technology, including wireless telemedicine options for those with chronic health problems who may need monitoring at home. It will also offer personalized, integrated and comprehensive disease management programs for chronic conditions such as diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and congestive heart failure.
