Aldata Customer Event 2012: The Rise of the Omni-Shopper
Aldata Customers from around the world gather in Lyon, France, to discuss how new shopping behavior is changing the face of retail and distribution
ATLANTA, Sept. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Aldata, a global leader in retail and distribution improvement software, today announced that its annual customer event, Aldata ACE 2012: The Rise of the Omni-Shopper, will be held October 23-24 in Lyon, France. The two-day conference, which attracts more than 200 Aldata customers from retail, distribution, and CPG manufacturing companies located in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America, is a unique opportunity to share experiences and to learn about Aldata's new Omni-Shopper offerings.
This year's event includes an introduction from Aldata CEO Roy Simrell as well as a session with Aldata's new head of merchandising and category management Kevin Stadler on "Meeting the needs of the Omni-Shopper." Featured customer presentations include U.S. Smart & Final and Nash Finch; European retailers Mercator and Groupe Casino as well as global CPG manufacturers such as Carlsberg.
Mark Ruttley, CIO of UK-based Midlands Co-operative and Chairman of the G.O.L.D. User Association (GUA, founded in 2001), and Tim Millen, Chairman of the American G.O.L.D. User Association (AGUA, founded in 2005), will share with delegates the vision for the new Aldata Customer Association to consolidate the successes of the GUA and AGUA and build a global association. The Aldata Customer Association will continue to be independent of Aldata and offer the same support to its members worldwide.
Aldata ACE 2012 will meet at the 5-Star Sofitel Hotel in the historic city of Lyon, France. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the city during an evening Gastronomic River Cruise around the Lyon Peninsula on the Rhone and Saone rivers. The 2012 Association Gala Dinner will be a River Cruise Cocktail Dinner prepared onboard by chef Gilles Develle, Toque Blanche Lyonnaise. The boat will cruise up the Saone by the Vieux Lyon district, which is Europe's largest Renaissance district after Venice and has recently been listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO.
