Albemarle to Increase Prices of SAYTEX® RB-49 and SAYTEX® 8010 Brominated Flame Retardants

BATON ROUGE, La., June 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB) announced today that it will increase the base prices on select SAYTEX® brominated flame retardants on or after July 1, 2010, or as contracts allow:

SAYTEX® RB-49 (tetrabromophthalic anhydride) by $0.65/kg globally
SAYTEX® 8010 (decabromodiphenyl ethane) by $0.60/kg on all Asia shipments
