Alaska Airlines Offers 'Constituent Fare' for Travel to 2011 Alaska State Legislative Session
ANCHORAGE, Dec. 20, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Alaska Airlines announced today it is offering a specially discounted "constituent fare" to residents of the state of Alaska for travel to Juneau during the 2011 legislative session. The constituent fare represents a 30 percent discount off three- and seven-day advance purchase tickets, and is available exclusively at www.alaskaair.com starting today for travel from Jan. 14 through April 24, 2011.
"Alaska Airlines is pleased to offer this discount fare to state residents who want to meet face-to-face with their elected representatives and watch the legislative process firsthand," said Bill MacKay, the airline's senior vice president for the state of Alaska.
The constituent fare is available to Alaska residents (except those in the Juneau area) who are members of Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plan and is valid for one roundtrip to the capital from any of the carrier's year-round markets in the state of Alaska (except Prudhoe Bay). An e-mail containing a discount code is being sent to Mileage Plan members today. Those who do not receive the message and wish to purchase a constituent fare ticket should contact Alaska Airlines Customer Care at 1-800-654-5669 (TTY/TDD line 800-392-0228) between 7 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Alaska time.
