HOUSTON, March 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Jones Walker LLP announced today that Albert B. "Al" Deaver, Jr. has joined the firm as a partner on the Intellectual Property team in the Houston office.
Mr. Deaver has more than 25 years of experience in patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, and contract disputes and has litigated cases covering a wide range of technologies and subjects. Mr. Deaver represents individual inventors and small business owners, and provides IP portfolio management for large companies over a wide range of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic, and bio-medical technologies. In addition, he provides IP counseling and strategic analysis for his clients, including opinions, due diligence, licensing, market analysis, competitive designing, and invention management.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, Mr. Deaver practiced as a consulting engineer in the area of metallurgy and stress analysis. He earned his juris doctor degree from the South Texas College of Law.
