AkzoNobel unveils innovative new finish at METALCON 2017
LAS VEGAS, Oct. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- AkzoNobel introduced today the next evolutionary advancement in print technology at METALCON 2017 with the release of CERAM-A-STAR Expressions, an innovative textured finish that engages the senses with the visual appeal of a print and texture that adds depth and dimension.
"CERAM-A-STAR Expressions combines AkzoNobel's innovative ink with our wrinkle coating technologies. When applied to the print design, Expressions allows our customers to create looks that are truly differentiated," explains Scott Hanna, Sales Manager for AkzoNobel's coil coatings business.
CERAM-A-STAR Expressions is based on CERAM-A-STAR 1050, AkzoNobel's industry-leading silicone-modified polyester coating, renowned for its durability, consistency, and color stability. Available since 2005, the performance of CERAM-A-STAR 1050 is proven through nearly two decades of test data and installations in the field. Expressions technology is also available in POLYDURE, AkzoNobel's polyester technology.
