Akron-Canton Airport receives perfect score by the Federal Aviation Administration for Part 139 Airfield Safety Inspection

The Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) recently achieved a perfect score on the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 139 Airfield Safety Inspection. All U.S. airports that offer commercial airline service are evaluated annually. The exhaustive process involves pre-inspection reviews, administrative meetings, inspections of aircraft rescue and firefighting facilities (ARFF), airfield movement areas (like runways and taxiways), fueling facilities, night operations, and administrative briefings.
