Mayor's Sustainability Award given to companies exhibiting a commitment to environmental excellence in the District of Columbia. Since 2009, the Mayor's Sustainability Awards, previously called the Mayor's Environmental Excellence Award, have acknowledged outstanding individuals, businesses, schools, institutions, and organizations for their leadership. The winners' projects and programs support the Mayor's Sustainability Plan across the full range of priorities including: the built environment, climate, energy, food, nature, transportation, waste, water, and the green economy.
