AJC Delegation Meets Bahrain's Foreign Minister
MANAMA, Bahrain, Dec. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- An AJC delegation met for more than an hour with Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Foreign Minister of Bahrain. AJC, a leading global advocacy organization with headquarters in New York, regularly visits the Gulf nation, a strategic ally of the U.S., and meets with Bahraini officials in New York and Washington.
This AJC visit came at a critical time for American interests and alliances in the Gulf, following the extension of the P5+1 nuclear talks with Iran, the formation of an international coalition to confront ISIS, and U.S. congressional elections.
"Our ongoing conversations with senior Bahraini officials on shared concerns are beneficial to deepening understanding between a key Arab ally and American Jews," said Jason Isaacson, AJC Director of Government and International Affairs.
