Intel DPT will be available on select Intel® Atom™ processor platforms with Intel's optimized Android 4.4 release.
AirWatch will offer same-day support for Intel DPT deployments, providing enterprises with extended management capabilities, including:
- Application whitelisting, blacklisting, silent installation and silent removal
- Device configuration, inventory and remote management
- Kiosk mode
- Network configuration
- Expense management
- Container management
"Intel DPT significantly advances the manageability of Android devices within enterprises and government institutions by providing a robust security solution with policy-based data leakage protection for sensitive assets," said John Marshall, president and CEO, AirWatch. "As the only EMM vendor that will provide same-day support for this new platform, AirWatch enables organizations to effectively manage and secure a diverse range of Android mobile devices. We continue to provide our customers with the greatest flexibility and most comprehensive support for new platforms in the market."
"AirWatch understands the importance of adding increased security and manageability to mobile devices," said Rick Echevarria, vice president, Intel Security Group, general manager, Platforms and Solutions Division at Intel.
