AirTran Airways Launches Fare Sale To Kick Off The New Year
Airline Offers Sale Fares as Low as $69 One-Way to Destinations Nationwide
DALLAS, Dec. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AirTran Airways, a wholly owned subsidiary of Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV), today announced a fare sale offering Customers low air fares to kick off the New Year. Customers can book fares to destinations nationwide (see Fare Rules below) with fares starting as low as $69 one-way. These low fares are available today through Dec. 13, 2012, 11:59 p.m. PT, for travel every day of the week except for Sundays, beginning Jan. 7, 2013 through May 15, 2013 (market restrictions and blackout dates apply).
Travelers may purchase these sale fares at www.airtran.com, from their local travel agent, or via AirTran Airways' reservations system at 1-800-AIR-TRAN. For reservations in Spanish, call 1-877-581-9842.
Examples of these one-way, low fares* include (see Fare Rules below):
- $69 one-way between Atlanta and Orlando
- $70 one-way between Boston-Logan and Baltimore-Washington
- $109 one-way between Atlanta and Nassau
- $119 one-way between Mexico City and San Antonio

Fare Rules
One-way fares can be purchased today through Dec. 13, 2012, 11:59 p.m. PT. Travel must take place between Jan. 7, 2013, and May 15, 2013. Travel valid every day of the week except for Sundays. Blackout dates include Feb. 15 through Feb. 18, Mar. 8 through Mar. 15, Mar. 22 through April 1, and April 5, 2013. Travel to and from Florida only valid on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Blackout dates for travel to and from Florida include Feb. 15 through Feb. 18, Mar. 7 through Mar. 23, Mar. 28 through April 1, and April 5, 2013. Service to Phoenix will no longer be available after Jan. 4, 2013. Displayed prices include all government taxes and fees (included in asterisked footnote below). A first bag may be checked for a fee of $20 each way and a second bag may be checked for a fee of $25 each way. Reservations may be made via AirTran Airways' Telephone Reservations Center for a fee of $15. Reservations may also be changed via AirTran Airways' Telephone Reservations Center for a $15 fee plus any applicable change fees and fare differences. Fares may be combined with other AirTran Airways combinable fares. If combining with other fares, the most restrictive fare's rules apply. When combining fares, all rules and restrictions apply. All fares are non-refundable and a $75 fee per person applies to any change made after purchase, plus any applicable increase in airfare. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights. Fares, routes, and schedules are subject to change without notice. Fares may vary by destinations, flight, and day of week and won't be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods. Fares are nonrefundable but may be applied toward the purchase of future travel on AirTran Airways after applicable change fees and fare differences. Fares are not available through the Group Desk.
