AirTran Airways Launches A 'Leave the Blizzard Behind' Sale to Florida and the Caribbean

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today brought long-sought relief to snow-weary customers on the East Coast by launching a 72-hour sale for travel to all the airline's destinations – including Florida and the Caribbean – with fares starting as low as $44*.
Travelers may purchase these special "blizzard getaway" fares at http://www.airtran.com, from their local travel agent, or via AirTran Airways' reservations system at 1-800-AIR-TRAN. For Spanish, call 1-877-581-9842.
"With historic snowfalls in the northeast and mid-Atlantic, we thought the least we could do was offer some special fares to warmer climates," said Tad Hutcheson, vice president of marketing and sales for AirTran Airways. "In fact, it's 82 degrees and sunny right now in Montego Bay."
These special fares will only be available until February 18, 2010, at 11:59 p.m. eastern so book fast. Fares are good for travel from February 26, 2010, through May 26, 2010.
Lowest fares are valid for travel Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Additional sale fares are valid for travel Friday and Sunday. Like all AirTran Airways fares, prices included in this sale are available for one-way travel and do not require a roundtrip purchase or an overnight stay.
