AirTran Airways Launches 72-Hour Super Sale To Destinations Nationwide
Airline Offers Fares Starting as Low as $45 One-way
DALLAS, Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AirTran Airways, a wholly owned subsidiary of Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV), announced today a 72-hour travel super sale with one-way nonstop tickets starting as low as $45 to select destinations nationwide (see fare rules below). These low fares are available for purchase today through 11:59 p.m. PT, Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012. The fares are available for travel every day of the week Nov. 28 through Dec. 18, 2012 and Jan. 4 through Mar. 1, 2013 (Market restrictions apply).
Travelers may purchase these sale fares at www.airtran.com, from their local travel agent, or via AirTran Airways' reservations system at 1-800-AIR-TRAN. For reservations in Spanish, call 1-877-581-9842.
Examples of these one-way, low fares* include (see Fare Rules below):
- $45 nonstop one-way between Atlanta and Orlando
- $75 nonstop one-way between Akron-Canton and Ft. Myers
- $85 nonstop one-way between Houston Hobby and Dayton
- $110 nonstop one-way between Richmond and Denver
- $145 nonstop one-way between Charlotte and Los Angeles

Fare Rules
One-way fares can be purchased today through Oct. 11, 2012, 11:59 pm PT. Travel must take place Nov. 28 through Dec. 18, 2012, or Jan. 4 through Mar. 1, 2013. Travel valid all days of the week. Travel to/from New Orleans (MSY) is not available Jan. 31 through Feb. 14, 2013. Travel to/from Las Vegas (LAS) is not available Jan. 31 through Feb. 5, 2013. Travel to/from Washington Reagan National (DCA) and Baltimore-Washington (BWI) is not available Jan. 17 through Jan. 23, 2013. Service to Phoenix, AZ, will no longer be available after Jan. 4, 2013. Displayed prices include all government taxes and fees (included in asterisked footnote below). A first bag may be checked for a fee of $20 each way and a second bag may be checked for a fee of $25 each way. Reservations may be made via AirTran Airways' Telephone Reservations Center for a fee of $15. Reservations may also be changed via AirTran Airways' Telephone Reservations Center for a $15 fee plus any applicable change fees and fare differences. Fares may be combined with other AirTran Airways combinable fares. If combining with other fares, the most restrictive fare's rules apply. When combining fares, all rules and restrictions apply. All fares are non-refundable and a $75 fee per person applies to any change made after purchase, plus any applicable increase in airfare. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights. Fares, routes, and schedules are subject to change without notice. Fares may vary by destinations, flight, and day of week and won't be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods.
