MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AirTight Networks, a global supplier of secure cloud-managed Wi-Fi, will exhibit at XChange Solution Provider 2014 conference in Los Angeles, Calif., March 2nd through 4th. The conference brings together over 220 solution providers to discuss growth opportunities in today's fast-changing business environment. The theme of the conference is "Pivot or Perish" – encompassing pivoting seamlessly between business and technology solutions and gaining strategic insight into the drivers of a new generation of cloud, mobile, social, information and infrastructure solutions. These themes dovetail with AirTight's approach to positioning cloud Wi-Fi as a revenue driver, rather than a cost center, and its focus on building a solution-oriented channel.

"Our products lend themselves naturally to the channel model, whether for resellers just dipping a toe into the cloud space or for established managed service providers (MSPs)," said David King, chief executive officer of AirTight. "Our recent hiring of channel veterans now puts in place the human capital and the channel centric infrastructure needed for success in this space. We are excited to showcase our capabilities in front of the XChange attendees."
AirTight recently made moves to build out its North America and worldwide channels, hiring Anita Pandey for the role of vice president of marketing and business development, along with Paul Kersse, its new channel chief, and Ken Dubuque, head of North America sales.
Pandey is a Wi-Fi veteran and longtime channel leader who recently led channel marketing for Ruckus Wireless, where she spearheaded innovative channel initiatives and garnered coveted channel awards for the company, such as CRN's 2013 Annual Report Card Award. Prior to that, she spent 10 years at Cisco where she launched some of their most profitable channel programs, and helped Cisco significantly increase Wi-Fi mindshare and market share in a variety of vertical markets through impactful partnerships and solutions.
"The networking industry is at a turning point where the 'appification' of solutions and services and not just hardware innovation are beginning to drive the success of the players," said Pandey. "AirTight's strong 'software & analytics DNA' uniquely positions them to take advantage of this sea change in the industry. Moreover, the company has a track record of coming to market quickly and consistently with high-quality, easy-to-use products & services. These were the driving factors behind my decision to join the company."
Kersse and Dubuque both have extensive channel experience. Kersse has over 15 years of experience in sales and channel management brokering partnerships with industry leading MSPs and resellers. Prior to AirTight, Kersse held channel development, sales and sales engineering roles at the Pentagon, Spirent Federal, Ixia and most recently at Xirrus.
Dubuque has held a variety of senior sales roles with wireless infrastructure providers, including Exalt Communications, Orthogon (acquired by Motorola), Proxim Wireless and Xirrus. He has over 15 years of experience managing direct and channel sales organizations, including building channels from scratch and managing strategic partner relationships.
To prepare for the channel push, AirTight scaled up its telesales and technical marketing teams. The expanded organizations will drive demand and provide dedicated technical support and training resources for the channel. AirTight also recently launched a streamlined partner certification program. The new training attests to the ease of use of the AirTight solution, requiring only a three hour commitment on the part of the reseller's personnel to achieve certification.
