BOSTON, April 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- This spring, the AIRMALL at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS, Terminals B and E) is helping travelers focus on ways to stay fit and healthy on the go by launching Fit2Fly week from April 27 to May 1, 2015. Throughout the week, AIRMALL and its tenants will offer complimentary health and wellness services, giveaways including a FitBit® wireless wristband and travel yoga mats, and share tips with travelers about ways to focus on health and wellbeing while traveling.
"From grabbing fresh fruit or trail mix as a snack for the plane to walking around the terminal and shops while waiting for your flight, there are ways that travelers can incorporate a health and wellness routine into their travels. Activities scheduled during Fit2Fly week at the AIRMALL at BOS in Terminal B include:
- Monday, April 27: Healthy snack tastings at Berkshire Farms Market
- Tuesday, April 28: Free five-minute massages by Be Relax in the TB American Airlines Food Court, 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 29: Free yoga sessions with Boston-based fitness instructor Lauren Hefez in the TB US Airways Food Court, Noon to 3 p.m.
- Thursday, April 30: Free five-minute massages by Be Relax in the TB American Airlines Food Court, 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Friday, May 1: Healthy snack tastings at Berkshire Farms Market
AIRMALL will provide travelers with handouts that provide easy tips for staying healthy on the go, including modifying your favorite yoga poses to relax mid-flight and being mindful of your water intake to stay hydrated. AIRMALL will also note the variety of healthy dining options available at the airport through a special dining guide for travelers. Boston Logan debuted in the top 10 list of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine's 2014 Airport Food Review of the nation's busiest airports.
