WASHINGTON, Dec. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Airlines for America (A4A), the trade association for the leading U.S. airlines, formerly known as the Air Transport Association, today named Elizabeth Shaver to the role of Director, Cargo Services. In this new role, she will oversee cargo functions at Airlines for America, coordinate with the association's members, and serve as a liaison to various cargo and customs functions within U.S. and foreign governments.

Shaver will join A4A in January from Delta Air Lines, where she served in various capacities, including Manager, Flight Control, Cargo Revenue Management; Manager, Compliance and Operations Control Center Support, Cargo Operations; and, most recently, as Manager, Customs and Facilitation, Corporate Security.

Prior to her tenure with Delta, Shaver worked both domestically and internationally as a policy analyst, editor, operations agent and cargo call center manager. She began her career in 1997, working as a briefing attorney for Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P. in Austin, Texas.
She attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree and Bachelor of Arts degree with honors.
