Air Traffic Event Offers New Technology and Educational Content
ATCA 58th Annual Returns October 20 – 23
WASHINGTON, Sept. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) 58th Annual Conference and Exhibition – the largest air traffic event in the Americas – will be launching its exhibition hall on October 20-23 with two free theaters filled with ATC content, new ATC technology from exhibitions, and more networking opportunities to get involved in the aviation industry than ever before.
"Offering so many exemplary organizations on the Exhibit Hall floor provides the most effective networking and business development opportunity, especially for ATCA members," says Peter F. Dumont, President and CEO of ATCA. "The international presence on the floor has expanded this year and I look forward to it creating new opportunities for all attendees."
The Exhibit Hall at the ATCA 58th Annual includes exhibits ranging from research and development to information and technology; each exhibitor bringing their own unique offering to the floor. The entire hall is free to visit and exhibitors include The Boeing Company, Dell Software, EIZO Corporation, Frequentis, Lockheed Martin, Harris Corporation, and TASC Inc.
"As a first time exhibitor, we are looking forward to introducing our company and products to this exciting industry," said Mike Dressendorfer, CEO of Russ Bassett Corp. "After a challenging design competition, Russ Basset Crop. was awarded an FAA IDIQ national contract to provide Slatwall configured TRACON consoles and will be exhibiting similar capabilities at the ATCA 58."
One of the benefits of visiting the exhibition is the expansion of ATCA's free education opportunities in two exhibit hall theaters: the ATCA ATM Theater and the ATCA Presentation Theater. Content will highlight innovation and meeting the demands of NextGen – the ongoing transformation of the National Airspace System (NAS).
ATCA is involved in organizing the largest ATC events in the world. In addition, ATC hosts the ATCA Technical Symposium, Aviation Cyber Security Day, and introducing UAS Day to be held in Arlington, VA on Nov. 1. In association with CANSO, ATCA also co-produces World ATM Congress in Madrid, Spain. The association offers platforms for discussions at these events, and a focus on the top issues relevant to the ATC and aviation community.
