Air Products Announces Changes to Merchant Gases and Supply Chain Leadership
LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa., Oct. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Products (NYSE:APD) today announced that Corning F. Painter has been appointed to the position of senior vice president and general manager, Merchant Gases. He succeeds John W. Marsland, who is leaving the company to pursue other career opportunities. Patricia (Pam) A. Mattimore, currently vice president and general manager of Performance Materials, will succeed Painter as senior vice president, Supply Chain, and join the company's Corporate Executive Committee.
Painter joined Air Products in 1984 as a participant in the company's Career Development Program and subsequently progressed through a variety of commercial and operating positions. He was appointed senior vice president, Corporate Strategy and Technology, and joined the Corporate Executive Committee in 2011. The following year, he assumed responsibility for Supply Chain. Mattimore joined Air Products in 1982 as a participant in the company's Career Development Program. She subsequently held positions in applied research and development, standard plants, and sales and major accounts management. In 2005, she was named vice president, Energy and Materials, and in 2009, she assumed her current role as vice president and general manager of the Performance Materials Division.
