Air Force Selects Engineering Services Network (ESN) as Network Centric 2 (NETCENTS-2) Applications Support Sub-Contractor

ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Air Force announced  the award of 12 contracts that will make it quicker and easier for warfighters to obtain innovative information technology services and capabilities covering the full spectrum of operations and missions. The Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts were awarded to 12 small businesses.

The contract awardees include DSD Laboratories Inc. of Sudbury, MA.  Engineering Services Network, Inc. (ESN) of Arlington, Va., is a team partner and subcontractor with DSD.

The Air Force's Network Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) team awarded its Application Services Small Business Companion contract Aug. 27. This is the first of two Application Services contracts available for use by the Air Force. The other is a full and open competition still in source selection. William Fitzsimmons, ESN Capture Lead, said each contract has a ceiling value of $960 million with a three-year base ordering period, and four 12-month options.

ESN was selected as a subcontractor on DSD Labs' NETCENTS-2 Applications team, with DSD Labs as the prime. The team is represented by small and large businesses with ability to meet the diverse work identified on NETCENTS-2 Applications Small Business Contract.
