Air Force Memorial to Host United States Air Force 67th Birthday Celebration Concert
ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Air Force Memorial invites you to attend the Air Force 67th Birthday Celebration Concert featuring the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team and The U.S. Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants beginning at 7:00 pm on Friday, September 12, 2014. The U.S. Air Force Band Conductor Emeritus Colonel Arnald D. Gabriel (Ret.) will be the special guest conductor. The event is free and open to the public.
Limited parking options are available in the Pentagon Overflow Parking Lot at Hayes Street, as well as street parking along Southgate Road. Royal Trolley Tours and Signature Tours will also provide a free trolley transportation service from four locations: the Pentagon City Metro, the corner of Army-Navy Drive at the South Joyce Street ART Bus stop 42/87, the Southgate Road parking area, and on the corner of Orme Street and Columbia Pike near the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel. The Memorial is free and open to the public every day of the year except Christmas Day. The hours are: April 1st - September 30th: 8 a.m. – 11 p.m. and October 1st - March 31st: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. Dogs are not permitted at the Memorial unless they are leashed service dogs.
