WASHINGTON, July 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- AiNET has been awarded a contract by Prince George's County to run dark fiber to the County Public Safety Communications radio system, including improved connections to critical transit locations.
Prince George's County Public Safety Communications operates a digital radio network comprised of many above ground tower sites, as well as three WMATA (Metro) sites that service Prince George's County portions of the underground sections of the Metrorail system at Largo Town Center, Suitland and College Park stations. AiNET will provide redundancy to the existing microwave radio connections to these sites, allowing Prince George's County Public Safety Communications to build a fault tolerant solution to the Metro sites, as part of a larger initiative to implement an MPLS solution across the county's entire LMR (Land Mobile Radio) system.
"We have been a technology partner of the County for many years. They know AiNET can build, connect and maintain these optical fiber networks in a more cost-efficient way than any other regional network provider," says Deepak Jain, CEO at AiNET. "They know we stand behind them 100%, and are just as committed to the success of the project as they are."
AiNET is a CATS II Master Contractor for Prince George's County with a long history of telecommunications excellence. PG County will benefit from the experience AiNET brings to complex fiber deployments. AiNET's unique service offerings encompassing fiber-connected data centers, cloud and fiber networks allow them to deliver success on all aspects of IT projects.
