NEW YORK, Sept. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- aiCIO commenced a two-day countdown of the top 25 institutional investment consultants, at 9:00 a.m. ET today.

Via tweets (@ai_CIO) and at www.ai-cio.com, consultants ranked 25-11 are to be announced at phased time intervals throughout September 5, followed by the top 10 on September 6.

According to Kip McDaniel, editor-in-chief, the top consultants were chosen based on their recent innovations, contributions to the industry's intellectual discourse, and ability to influence the strategic and structural decisions of pension plans, endowments, foundations and other major institutional investors.
