AIC will be showing new solutions from its full-line of x86 FIPS/NEBS compliant network appliances that meet various application requirements of the central office. All AIC FIPS/NEBS compliant servers are embedded products and have at least a 5-7 year life cycle. All AIC FIPS/NEBS appliances are short-depth chassis at 20 inches, and come equipped with AC power supply units or DC power supply units as an option.
"With the incredible interest in Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), carriers and cloud data center operators have a vision to use general purpose network appliances to support virtualized networking functions to replace proprietary hardware solutions," said Jarrod Siket, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Netronome. "To meet the reliability these services need, FIPS/NEBS are critical requirements. When coupled with Netronome's acceleration FlowNICs, the appliances from AIC can support the widest range of high-tough networking and security applications."
The following FIPS or NEBS compliant solutions will be demoed at Interop:
TB101-HA is a 1RU, dual processor network appliance that satisfies processor and memory intensive network applications. The TB101-HA supports the latest Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2400 v1/v2 product family, up to 384GB of memory, four Gigabit Ethernet ports for network connectivity and an integrated baseboard management controller (BMC) for remote management.
TB116-AA is a 1RU, single processor network appliance that meets the requirements of an entry-level appliance with expansion options to support two network security modules or network control cards. The TB116-AA supports the latest Intel® Xeon® processor E3-1200 v3 product family featuring new Intel® processor microarchitecture (formerly Haswell) or the 4th Generation Intel® Core processor, up to 32GB of memory, two Gigabit Ethernet ports and an integrated BMC for remote management.
TB216-AA is a 2RU, single processor network appliance that supports up to four network add-in cards, and provides even more expandability than the TB116-AA. TB216-AA is driven by either an Intel® Xeon® processor E3-1200 v3 product family or a 4th Generation Intel® Core processors, and supports up to 32GB of memory, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and an integrated BMC for remote management.
