Ahmed Ghoniem Joins ThermoEnergy Board of Advisors
WORCESTER, Mass., March 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ThermoEnergy Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: TMEN), an industry leader in wastewater recovery and emissions-free combustion technologies, announced today that Dr. Ahmed F. Ghoniem will join ThermoEnergy's Board of Advisors.

A distinguished professor of Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Dr. Ghoniem is a recognized expert in the analysis of high-performance, zero-emission integrated energy systems with CO2 capture. Dr. Ghoniem has also made notable contributions in the fields of high performance computing in turbulent reactive flow; computational mathematics; combustion dynamics and active control; modeling and simulation of transport-chemistry interactions in thermochemical and electrochemical systems including high temperature fuel cells; gasification processes and fuel production.
Dr. Ghoniem received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley.
