AHM Expands HCP Compliance Focus To Support China and Other Asia-Pac Markets: Industry Conference Scheduled For April 28th

NEW PROVIDENCE, N.J., March 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- AHM today announced that it has begun engaging with pharmaceutical companies in China as part of a broader initiative to support the growing compliance needs in the Asia-Pacific region.

China has a complex regime of laws relating to compliance. One recent area of prominence relates to anti-corruption requirements, which are largely embodied in the Anti-Unfair Competition Law and in criminal statutes. The latter puts particular focus on bribery in the public sector, which in China includes many large government-owned enterprises. Under the current Chinese administration, there have been more anti-corruption prosecutions than in the past, meaning those undertaking business in China need to be especially cognizant of compliance concerns, whether in their home country or the People's Republic.
