APPLETON, Wis., Sept. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Agropur will lead an innovation session at the International Whey Conference in Chicago on Sept. 18. The presentation will be conducted by Pauline Olson, vice president of new business development, sales and marketing for Ingredients, Agropur US Operations.
Olson's session, titled "Where Can Whey Go: Emerging Markets," focuses on whey protein's future applications and areas for growth. It is one of four presentations at the conference that will touch on emerging markets for whey.
"I'm honored to be presenting at the International Whey Conference," Olson said. "As one of the largest whey producers in the world, Agropur is at the forefront of dairy protein innovation and applications for the future."
Agropur will be showcasing one such application at the conference. Tablet prototypes containing Agropur's award-winning glycomacropeptide (GMP) protein can be sampled at Agropur's conference booth. The prototypes, called GMP Breath Mints, use GMP's properties to reduce the formation of dental caries and plaque. The mints also aid in the remineralization of tooth enamel.
Olson and Anand Rao, vice president of research and development for Ingredients, Agropur US Operations, serve on the International Whey Conference's organizing committee. Rao is also on the organization's scientific committee and will serve as a moderator at the conference. Agropur is an official sponsor of the International Whey Conference.
