Agito Networks Receives 'Positive' Rating in Leading Analyst Firm's Enterprise Mobile Communication Gateway MarketScope Report
Agito Networks Rated as 'Positive' Based on Key Evaluation Criteria of Market Understanding, Innovation, Product Strategy and Overall Viability
SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Agito Networks, Inc.™, the company delivering innovative solutions in enterprise mobility, today announced that it has received a "Positive" rating in Gartner's April 2010 report titled "MarketScope for Enterprise Mobile Communication Gateway."
According to the Gartner, Inc., report, "As more and more organizations clamor for greater control over myriad telephony options, combined with the need to prepare for unified communications (UC) and UC collaboration (UCC), IT organizations will need to employ mechanisms that extend enterprise telephony functionality to users connected via cell phones and support mobile UC. This can be accomplished through a product segment called enterprise mobile communication gateways (EMCGs)." (1)
Vendors in the EMCG space were rated based on a number of evaluation criteria. Evaluation criteria which were weighted as "high" in determining the ratings included Market Understanding, Innovation, Offering (Product) Strategy, and Overall Viability.
Gartner gives the overall EMCG market a "promising" rating. The Gartner, Inc., report continued, "The concept of FMC/mobile UC is rapidly gaining interest, as companies strategically assess enterprise telephony and as the upgrade cycle to IP telephony continues…By 2011, more users will only have a mobile phone than those that only have a desk phone…Instead of being chained to the desk, users will be free to conduct business in a mobile environment, yet maintain enterprise functionality in wireless devices." "Our growing global customer base is reaping the cost and connectivity benefits of enterprise mobile communications, and it is rewarding to receive the 'Positive' rating of Agito by the evaluation team at Gartner," said Amit Chawla, Agito Networks CEO. "We believe Gartner's rating confirms our industry innovation and growing position in the market and our commitment to providing customers with enterprise mobility solutions that meet their unique challenges."

RoamAnywhere uniquely delivers a mobile UC product with high availability, redundancy, security, enterprise scalability, and the industry's broadest IP-PBX and mobile handset support, including VoIP support for the Apple® iPhone®, iPod touch®, iPad and Research In Motion (RIM®) BlackBerry® smartphones. RoamAnywhere works with all cellular networks, and natively integrates with enterprises' existing equipment, including WLAN infrastructure and directory stores.
As the only provider to deliver enterprise VoIP and mobile UC capabilities across diverse networks, including WiFi, 3G and cellular for the most platforms, Agito Networks slashes international direct dialing, roaming and hidden overage charges, reducing international cellular expenses by up to 80 percent in most cases. RoamAnywhere moves mobile users' calls when away from WiFi coverage to 3G cellular data networks which are paid as a flat rate, keeping callers away from costly cellular networks and rates.
