BOULDER, Colo., Jan. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Seasoned and early stage entrepreneurs alike often struggle with articulating what their company does in a clear, concise manner, namely the dreaded "Elevator Pitch." The "Agile MessagingWorkshop" is a three-hour forum that will guide attendees through a proven framework for developing and articulating their company pitch based on the Agile principles of "build, test and improve." The first part of the session will explain the importance of clear, crisp positioning and messaging. Next, attendees will walk through a number of examples and a proven framework for developing their own company story. Attendees will then break into groups to work collectively on their own narrative and finish up with a "before and after" comparison.
Brian Tsuchiya, co-founder of Idyllic Software and a co-sponsor of the event, says attendees will gain an improved foundation for telling their story in a clear, understandable and compelling way. "Developing a company pitch is oftentimes one of the toughest things for entrepreneurs. Yet, it is such an important factor in so much of what they do. It is the basis for helping attract investors, customers, partners and draw new employees. The list just goes on and on."
Guy Murrel, co-founder of Catapult PR-IR in Boulder and the featured presenter of the Agile Messaging Workshop, agrees. "Having worked with emerging growth and start-up companies for the last 14 years, one of the biggest challenges for business owners is telling their company's narrative. The framework we have created has been used time and again by these types of companies and helps level the playing field – so not only do they clearly articulate their company and value proposition, but take control of their destiny by positioning themselves as market leaders and drivers."
The Agile Messaging Workshop is co-sponsored by Catapult PR-IR and Idyllic Software. It will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 27 at The Riverside (Agora / Food / Fuse) in Boulder. It is a collaborative, interactive workshop that yields immediate benefits to attendees. The workshop is complimentary and will include light food and beverages.
