Agile Alliance Announces Conference Program For Agile2013
More than 1,100 submissions for Agile2013 focus on Agile success
PORTLAND, Ore., April 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Agile Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the advancement of Agile software development principles and practices, today announced its full conference program for Agile2013. The finalized schedule is available for review at (http://agile2013.agilealliance.org/program/). Agile2013, the world's largest conference for Agile teams, developers, managers and executives, will take place Aug. 5-9 in Nashville (http://agile2013.agilealliance.org) at the beautiful Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center.
"With more than 1,100 program session submissions this year, and only 210 able to make the cut, we believe this year's program is a very strong one," said Kent McDonald, Agile2013 conference chair. "I want to personally thank everyone who submitted a submission proposal and all of the reviewers from the community that commented and provided feedback throughout the program development process. It is inspiring to see continued passion and momentum from our industry, and how the value and impact Agile-based methods are building for developers and their organizations."
Each year the Agile Conference brings together impassioned technologists that are dedicated to solving real-world problems and delivering tangible value to their organizations through Agile software development. As Agile methods mature deeper into IT organizations, this year's Agile2013 conference celebrates "getting Agile done," and the committed practitioners that have led the industry to build better software faster. While Agile2013 offers the greatest breadth of learning and content of any industry event, this year's program focuses on sharing experiences, ideas and creativity for "doing" Agile in a useful and meaningful way. The Agile2013 program is presented through multiple 'tracks' to provide participants with a focused area of interest while offering attendees a wide variety of topics to choose from. The biggest addition to this year's conference is the new DevOps track.
