OTTAWA, June 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - AFORE Solutions, Inc., a leader in cloud security and data encryption management, today announced the seamless integration of CloudLink® SecureVM with Microsoft® BitLocker® encryption. Organizations will now be able to secure their virtual desktop and server virtual machines (VMs) with native Windows encryption tools and protect virtual machines hosted on leading cloud provider platforms and enterprise virtualized infrastructures. CloudLink SecureVM also supports Linux native encryption, providing organizations with a single encryption management solution for multiple clouds and VM operating systems.

While BitLocker encryption is widely used in the enterprise, it relies on hardware Trusted Platform Modules (TPM) or USB drives to store encryption keys. CloudLink SecureVM eliminates the need for keys to be stored in hardware, enabling native OS encryption to be used in virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and virtualized server deployments.

SecureVM secures both boot and data volumes with a centralized approach that allows IT departments to manage OS boot security policy rather than relying on individual users. The solution provides enterprises with full control of the encryption keys for both Windows and Linux VMs deployed throughout their hybrid cloud and validates the integrity of virtual machines before they are allowed to boot.
