Aflac a Most Admired Company for Ninth Time
FORTUNE Lists Aflac as Leader in Innovation, Quality of Management and Long-Term Investment
COLUMBUS, Ga., March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Aflac, the insurance company that quickly pays you cash benefits when you are hurt or sick, has landed a coveted spot on FORTUNE magazine's list of Most Admired Companies for the ninth time. The Georgia-based supplemental insurer placed third in the life and health group. Survey respondents ranked Aflac tops in the innovation, quality of management and long-term investment categories in the Life and Health industry.

A total of 667 companies from 33 countries were surveyed with more than 4,200 respondents, including executives, directors and analysts, who were asked to rate companies in their own industry on nine criteria, from investment value to social responsibility. According to FORTUNE magazine, the list represents an annual ranking of corporate reputation.
The list of most admired companies appears today on FORTUNE magazine's Web site and will appear in the print edition of FORTUNE magazine on March 22, 2010.
