AFGE Endorses Maryland's David Trone for Election to Congress

WASHINGTON, Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Federation of Government Employees today announced its endorsement of David Trone for election to Congress representing Maryland's 6^th Congressional District.

"David Trone is a highly successful business owner who hasn't forgotten his humble beginnings growing up on a family farm in rural Maryland," AFGE District 4 National Vice President Dan Doyle said. "David understands that working people have been struggling for too long under a political and economic system that rewards corporations and the wealthiest individuals, and he will fight to level the playing field as our next Representative in Congress."

More than 147,500 federal employees live in Maryland – caring for veterans, supporting our military, ensuring Medicaid and Medicare recipients get their health care benefits, and protecting our natural resources. There are more than 95,000 current and retired federal workers in the 6^th District.
