"Today, we are pleased to announce our unequivocal support of Josh Harder in his race for Congress this November," said AFGE District 12 National Vice President George McCubbin III.
"Josh has shown a tremendous work ethic is both a businessman and teacher, and he will serve his constituents well in Washington as their Congressman," said McCubbin. "Josh is a fierce ally of working people, and we know he is the kind of fighter we need in Congress going forward. We look forward to seeing him win this fall and start serving Californians and federal workers when he gets to Washington next year," he added.
More than 250,000 federal employees live in California – more than 10,000 of whom reside in the 10th district – supporting the military, caring for veterans, ensuring the safety of the flying public, and getting Social Security recipients their benefits accurately and on time.
"The Administration's assault on hardworking employees like those in AFGE is a blow to hardworking Americans across this nation," said Harder. "AFGE workers play a key role in helping veterans with their medical needs and fighting for justice through our legal system. It is imperative that we protect Americans' access to these federal services," he added.
