WASHINGTON, Aug. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Federation of Government Employees today announced its endorsement of Joe Neguse for the U.S. House of Representatives for Colorado's 2nd Congressional District.
"Joe Neguse is just 34 years old but he's already making a difference in the lives of working families across Colorado," AFGE District 11 National Vice President Gerald Swanke said.
"Joe co-founded Colorado's largest young voter registration and mobilization organization, New Era Colorado, and spent six years fighting to make college more accessible as a member of the University of Colorado Board of Regents," Swanke said.
"A son of refugees from war-torn East Africa, Joe Neguse's mission is to fight for real change in Washington and expand everyone's opportunity to pursue the American Dream. He is an attorney, civic leader, and public servant who is the right choice for Colorado's future," he said.
