AFGE Endorses Cindy Axne for Congress
Largest federal union calls Axne 'a great friend to public servants'
WASHINGTON, Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the American Federation of Government Employees announced its endorsement of Cindy Axne for election this November to the U.S. House representing Iowa's 3rd Congressional District.
"As a fifth-generation Iowan, Cindy Axne knows exactly what her constituents need, and that's why we're excited to endorse her Congressional run today," said AFGE District 8 National Vice President Gregg James. Nearly 9,000 federal workers live in Iowa – more than 6,000 of whom live in the 3rd district – supporting the military, caring for veterans, ensuring the safety of the flying public, and getting Social Security recipients their benefits accurately and on time.
