Affinity Named Credit Union in New Jersey Most Beneficial to Its Members
BASKING RIDGE, N.J., Oct. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Affinity Federal Credit Union announced today its status as the most member beneficial credit union in New Jersey by Callahan & Associates, a credit union research and consulting firm based in Washington, D.C.
Callahan & Associates uses its ROM (Return of the Member) metric to consider: 1) whether the credit union's loan rates are lower or deposit rates higher than its competitors; 2) how many products and services the credit union offers; 3) how many of its members use the products. Affinity received an ROM score of 88.59 out of a maximum 100 points.
"To be acknowledged as the credit union in N.J. with the most benefits for members is an honor," said John T. Fenton, CEO of Affinity Federal Credit Union. "Serving our members has always been our top priority as a credit union and our staff tirelessly dedicates themselves to making that possible. This truly is the fruit of those labors."
The quantifying metric provides the industry's only holistic scoring system of member value in the U.S. Credit unions across the country use their ROM score to set member-facing goals and help staff better serve members.
