Affinity Federal Credit Union Searches for New Location on Rutgers Campus

BASKING RIDGE, N.J., April 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Affinity Federal Credit Union, currently located in the Student Center on the Rutgers New Brunswick campus, is looking for a new location on campus for the 2011-2012 school year. Affinity's lease for the current branch space is ending on May 31 and was not renewed by the University.

Affinity merged with Rutgers University Student and Alumni Federal Credit Union (RUSA) last June to help the struggling credit union, at the request of the National Credit Union Administration.

Even after the branch closes in May, Rutgers students and alumni will continue to be eligible for Affinity membership.  And, just as is the case with other Affinity members who do not have a local branch, the benefits of Affinity membership can be enjoyed by way of technology through online and mobile banking, by phoning the Member Service Center, or through ATM access at one of the credit union's vast network of 65,000 surcharge-free ATMs.  Prospective members can also join Affinity, apply for loans (including educational financing), and make deposits online.
