Affinion Loyalty Group to Host GM Ride and Drive Event
Richmond-area residents invited to drive vehicles, support troops through cell phone donations
RICHMOND, Va., Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Just in time for Richmond International Raceway's big fall weekend, Affinion Loyalty Group (ALG) and its partner General Motors (GM) invite community members to take part in a GM Ride and Drive event and to help support Cell Phones for Soldiers.
At the Ride and Drive members of the public can get behind the wheel of the a variety of GM vehicles including the Cruze, Malibu, Volt, Camaro Coupe, Camaro Convertible, Corvette Grand Sport, Equinox, Traverse and Silverado HD on a two-mile road course. Attendees are encouraged to bring unwanted cell phones to support Cell Phones for Soldiers. As part of GM's ongoing campaign to raise more than $1 million to support Cell Phones for Soldiers, all cell phones collected will be sold for recycling to purchase pre-paid calling cards for troops serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
