AFA's Next 'Mitchell Hour' to Focus on FY13 Budget
ARLINGTON, Va., Feb. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Air Force Association's Mitchell Institute for Airpower Studies welcomes Todd Harrison, the senior fellow for defense budget studies at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, as the next guest speaker at the upcoming Mitchell Hour.
This Mitchell event will take place on Friday, February 17, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at AFA's national headquarters at 1501 Lee Highway, Arlington, VA, next to the Key Bridge Marriott. The presentation will be in AFA's fourth floor boardroom.
Harrison's presentation will come just days after the Obama Administration officially releases the budget plan for FY2013. As the senior fellow for defense budget studies, Harrison will explain what the new numbers mean for the defense department today and in the future. He'll also discuss the potential challenges that sequestration would yield.
Harrison joined CSBA in 2009 from Booz Allen Hamilton, where he supported clients across the Department of Defense, assessing challenges to modernization initiatives and evaluating the performance of acquisition programs. Since joining CSBA, Mr. Harrison has authored a number of publications, including Estimating Funding for Afghanistan, Analysis of the FY 2010 Defense Budget Request, and Impact of the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan on the US Military's Plans, Programs, and Budgets.
