AFA Explores Cyber Security in Inaugural CyberFutures Conference
Conference Highlights Cyberspace and It's Role in Society, Business and War
ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Cyber defense has been identified as an imperative concern as the U.S. is critically dependent on cyber systems for industry, commerce, communications and national defense.
The Air Force Association recently announced its newest conference, the 2011 CyberFutures Conference and Technology Exposition, to be held March 31 – April 2 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, just across the river from Alexandria and minutes from downtown Washington, D.C.
Throughout CyberFutures, an eclectic group of speakers from senior-level government leaders to private-sector representatives will discuss the important role cyber security plays in today's society and initiatives taken to secure cyberspace and eliminate threats.
Themed "New Strategies for a New Domain," CyberFutures will focus on critical cyber security policy choices facing our nation that will determine our national security and prosperity in an increasingly interconnected world.
Our panels and discussions will be led by speakers representing the top policy leadership in the discipline from industry, academia and government.

The championship round for CyberPatriot III, AFA's unique education initiative, will be held in conjunction with CyberFutures. Presented by Northrup Grumman, CyberPatriot is the national high school cyber defense competition designed to increase students' awareness in cyber security and technology.
