AFA Announces Global Warfare Symposium change to Pacific Air and Space Symposium
ARLINGTON, Va., May 2, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Air Force Association is renaming the annual Global Warfare Symposium, as the Pacific Air and Space Symposium (PASS). This change reflects the growing influence of the Pacific theater on national security strategy.
The theme of the 2013 Pacific Air and Space Symposium, to be held November 21-22 in Los Angeles, is Rebalance to the Pacific, and will feature speakers from senior Air Force leadership, industry experts, and academic scholars. Topics for the symposium will focus on the Pacific theater as well as the air, cyber, and space domains.
"AFA looks forward to bringing attention to the growth of partnerships in the Pacific," said Craig McKinley, AFA President. "The Pacific will continue to play an important role as we adapt our space, cyber, and airpower strategies in defeating the tyranny of distance."
"This change reflects our commitment to bring the best military, academic and industry minds together to discuss and debate our evolving defense needs," says George Muellner, AFA Chairman of the Board.
