AFA Air & Space Conference Offers Professional Development Training
Conference sessions qualify toward continuous learning points (CLPs) for acquisitions professionals
ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Air Force Association's Air & Space Conference and Technology Exposition is the one-of-a-kind professional development event with a full agenda of speaker sessions, workshops and panels addressing today's challenges in aerospace, making the conference a great venue for Air Force acquisitions professionals to obtain Continuous Learning Points (CLPs).
The Air & Space Conference brings together Air Force leadership, industry experts, academia and current aerospace specialists from around the world giving insight to past, present and future aerospace challenges. It attracts the top echelon of USAF senior leadership, including the commanders of every USAF command, and military dignitaries from air forces worldwide.
In addition to the keynote address by Ashton Carter, Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology & Logistics, other portions of the Air & Space Conference and Technology Exposition qualify as professional development training to be counted toward CLPs. This also could include the Technology Expo, from which contracting, purchasing or engineering personnel may benefit from the knowledge gained about new products or innovations being exhibited. Air Force acquisitions professionals can earn 0.5 points per hour, maximum of four points per day and 20 points per year.

The 2011 Air & Space Conference will be held September 19 -21, 2011, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, just across the river from Alexandria and minutes from downtown Washington, DC. This year's conference boasts more than 50 conference addresses and 50,000 square feet of the latest and greatest technology from industry in the Exhibit Hall.
